About this location
1960’s open-plan, mid century house with original features and vintage décor.
The striking switch back, open tread wooden staircase is the strongest feature in this meticulously styled property, leading up from wooden parquet flooring to burnt orange carpets underfoot. Original pieces from furniture designers including Pieff, Englender and Heals fill the house.
White walls and teak furniture throughout are a backdrop for mustard textiles,
smoked glass, terrazzo and tan leather in this mid century modern haven.
Light pours in from floor to celling windows on both floors. Two large bedrooms with vintage 1960’s beds and lighting are perfect for shoots whilst a smaller third bedroom can be used by stylists.
Downstairs the generous living and dining zones give ample space for crew and equipment. The kitchen, filled with vintage 60’s homeware by Hornsea, Denby and Tupperware, can be shot into across the wide white formica counter top. Clients are welcome to use all homeware throughout the house as props.
Sliding doors lead to a large patio with vintage garden furniture. An L-shape wrap around lawn and considered planting gives scope for outdoor shots from the balcony above.
The house, situated in the beautiful village of Burnham, is close to both the M40 and M4.
There is plenty of free and easy on road parking.
